Newhaven Lifeboat rescue a dog fallen from Cliffs

Whilst on training exercise we were contacted by Solent CG on VHF radio to request that we assist in the recovery of a dog that had gone over the cliff at Brass Point, Seven Sisters and had been confirmed alive having fallen into the sea. The lifeboat arrived at 13:00 and the Y boat was launched with 2 PoB. A Springer Spaniel was found under the cliff on a small area of beach. She was cold and shaken but showed no obvious injuries so she was wrapped in a blanket and recovered into the Y boat at 13:15. The Spaniel was taken onto the ALB where she was comforted and kept warm before returning to the boathouse.
