  • Well I ordered a used 4 string vintage series in green with the bridge guard and pickup shield and the old headstock. Your videos and 11coopbass really helped me pull the trigger on this bass. So thanks alot. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos!

  • @iclgehteqphkquqylll Where'd you find that bass with the "old" headstock on it?

  • Earl, appreciated your comparison of the older and newer SX jazz basses. What I really wanted to hear, however, was whether there is, in your opinion, any difference in the sound or quality of the newer SX jazz bass. I'm trying to decide between buying a used SJB 62 or one of the newer Ursa basses. How do they compare in your view? Thanks,

  • @lipsyncprodigy1 There's no real distinctive difference.

  • @maxproud So, in your opinion, is there any real difference in playability or quality? You mention the neck is more or less the same, excepting the new headstock design, but is the rest of the bass the same, to the best of your judgement?

  • @LeMemeister In all honesty, the latter day "SX" basses seem a little more quality made. The newer basses are good though, just seemingly lighter in it's dimensions.

  • @maxproud I found it at Guitar Center. I had to go through alot of pages and was shocked it was there. But now Im worried. Im going to call them right now to make sure the picture is of the instrument I ordered.

  • @thecoolestdad Hi "coolest." Let me kow if you get a new "SX" bass! I'd like to know how that would turn out. And tell what you thought of the quality?

  • @maxproud That is true sir, only we can make our own decisions of what we want to play.I guess the reason I was asking is because I would like to know if these are really good quality basses for the price since they are so cheap?I only paid $120 for the Jazz Sx that I did have.Great price but if I could find a maple neck with a maple fretboard that I could replace on my Rogue I would do that too.Anyway based on your vids I may still get another SX later this summer. Thanks for all your help.

  • @thecoolestdad I can't make that decision for you. Personal preference, you know. It's about what you have to be comfortable with playing. You seem to be comfortable with the "Rogue." Maybe get another "SX" as a back up bass in the future.
