Yes Steve Howe Mood For A Day / Clap Hampton Beach Casino, New Hampshire In The Present Tour 2008
One fellow up front was a menace throughout the show. Steve then says: "I mean really. Enough is enough" Then, midway through Clap, he moves his stool further away from the chap.
in th late 90's in newe hersey howe gave a solo show and as he began , a drunken attendee was mouthing his words and clapping while he was speaking , which lead to his halting and belittling the young blade by asking him as to who was speaking
re the audience: what a bunch of childish ignoramuses. why did they want to come to this show? to hear themselves shout and then talk about it to their friends while the music was going on?
I'm glad I wasn't there! It makes me crazy when all people go to a concert for is the beer. They may as well have stayed home with a twelve pack and dvd, save the money and not be a bummer to the rest who go there for the show!! ;0(
mann hamilton may indeed be full of hardworking steel manufacturers, but we definitely showed Howe respect during the entire show, especially his solo performance. you could have heard benoit scratchin his french hide from the upper balcony during mood for a day.
Well, I´ve never been at a Yes show where Steve Howe stopped playing because of the rudeness of audience members - perhaps you can tell me of a recording I should listen to where this has happened. Also I read on Yesfans that the last time YES played here with Jethro Tull there was a riot apparently and the place closed for 10 years.
Yes in 2004...filling arenas/half stadiums of 5-10,000 people. "Yes" in 2008 w/o Anderson filling a fraction of that. What you have here is a greater ratio of idiots to diehard, respectful Yes fans.
I've seen Yes in Holland, England Italy and Spain, and can tell that audience we're not that "well behaved" as you state, and as far as I know, such venues belong to Europe.
I have followed Yes for quite a while and I've found all kids of species at the gigs.
I´ve never seen an audience so disrespectful and any Yes concert I´ve attended in Europe, and that´s been around 30+. Also, live recording I have of shows I didn´t attend have no hint at this type of racket going on in the background. It´s not endemic, sure, but American audiences don´t listen to shows like Yes and Genesis etc the same way Europeans do. If that was a show in France, England, Germany or Holland you would have heard a pin drop during ´mood for a day.´

Why are concert-goers so fecking disrespectful these days? Back in the day you could hear a pin drop when Steve Howe picked up a guitar.
