@Hawk816816 well the British Army is different, having lived in paderborn I got to size both up. Every British soldier does Infantry training, and mechanized to simulation training, vehicles maintenance and training on vehicles and because we are in Afghan servicemen quite often get posted to Afghanistan early on

I know men and women (yes women) that are in the British Army Royal Artillery units that have said they've been deployed in the Infantry Role in Iraq and Afghanistan and witnessed a few firefights, and the MP's have seen a bit of action.

Of course, if you're not being deployed to a warzone, you're not gonna see any action - even if you're infantry. You're just gonna do training exercises or stay on base.
