The week of November 8th through the 14th held plenty of Southern Railway steam action in the Knoxville area. It all began on Tuesday when Norfolk Southern ran train 955 from the TVRM in Chattanooga to G&O's Coster Shops in Knoxville. Train 955 marked the first long-distance move of the 21st Century Steam Program and presented a major milestone in Norfolk Southern's and TVRM's efforts. The 630 performed admirably on this first run, with practically zero problems en route, barring an open door on one of the tenders near Athens. NS and TVRM are both to be commended for doing such a fine job on the 630 and the realization of the mainline trips.
In fact, the 630 did so well that she easily left S-Line Productions in the dust most of the way between Ooltewah and Knoxville! This segment brings you on a high-speed chase of train 955 as it steams towards a very Southern week in Knoxville. Enjoy!
Keep on the lookout for more footage from the following week, including a Southern steam special from Knoxville to Alcoa starring 630 and 154!
Hey, love the vids! Quick question, how did you create the bar with the train info and the NS logo!?!?!

@DelayInBlock Thanks! I created that bar custom in Paint.net. Then I use my video editor to overlay the text.

Great shots! Is that a N&W J class whistle she's wearing?

@indie1361 Sorry, I don't know much about whistles. I couldn't say. Thanks for the comment, though!
