Having put the Hessian over, the upholsterer then put cotton felt directly on top...where was the horse hair? Otherwise, really pleased to see traditional upholstery being kept alive!

Truly an amazing art!!! Beautiful work, and no wonder upholstery cost so much.

i wonder how I would change a drop arm into a different kind hmm

i have to reupoholster my brand new Home Line Furniture (click-clack) set. i like the design, but it is very cheaply padded & has already acquired a dent or 2 from normal use by 2 adults in less than a few months & the manufacturer/company headquarters refuse to acknowledge 2 nice letters addressing the problem, so i am going to learn reupholstery!
thanks for the video!

such beautiful work, and stunning video to boot.

This is good however- he didn't tell us what you would need and best places to get the supplies so it really was just fun to watch but not helpful to me!

What's that black stuff you used to stuff it?

@TTYumYum The black stuff is called 'black curly fibre' - yea pretty obvious I know! What's interesting is what it's made of.... Coconut fibre dipped in a mixture of wax and carbon, sun dried then twisted. For the UK market the fibre is then Fire Retardant treated. Andrew
