@cheergirlielol Actually I was saying that she wasn't a typical American artist, meaning that her songs aren't based around love, heart breaks, or drama. That's what I meant about her not being your typical American artist.

This is so cute! People don't understand M.I.A.'s swag. She is her own person. On top of her being an individual, she is cultured. She is not your typical American artist who emulates Chris Brown, Patti Labelle, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, or anyone else. You can't put her in a box. She talk about realistic and important issues other than smoking pounds of weed, sexing an abundance of women, or shooting up her hood. She talks about what she knows--poverty, war, migration, segregation, and hardship.

@olengivens MIA is a good role model. unlike most girls in rap/hip-hop she never is half-naked never uses sex for or in her videos and music, never. the problem is the show especially "Captain Perfect" who i'd call "Captain Pervert". NIGHTMARE ROLE MODEL, why is that man allowed to have a kids show? scary. But its low budget and really small i'm certain MIA thought "ok normal kids show i'll do that", not knowing it would be the devil's kid show. Poor girl. Also he perved on her big time! Gross.
