At the Tustin Chili Cook-off, the Tustin Scientology org set up their stress/personality table.

I went there as a prospective customer, with stomach ailments and a possible case of bi-polar disorder. As you will see in the video, the scientologist offers medical help for my stomach condition, they promise the ability to determine if the problem is physical or mental and a cure for it.

Towards the end of the video, I bring up the fact that I might have a psychiatric bipolar condition and that I could be on Prozac. They again offer to diagnose the problem and offer alternative methods to the fix problem. Note at the very end, they clearly state that I should be taken off prozac. (The video cuts off at the 1GB limit imposed by my camera)

This clearly a violation of the recent California bill SB577, the California Alternative Health Care law.
Here's a quick synopsis of the law:
http://www.easychangeworks.com/articles-nlp/california-health-law-sb577.htm

I believe they have violated the following provisions of the law:
2053.5.
#4 Recommends the discontinuance of legend drugs or controlled substances prescribed by an appropriately licensed practitioner.
#5 Willfully diagnoses and treats a physical or mental condition of any person under circumstances or conditions that cause or create risk of great bodily harm, serious physical or mental illness, or death.
#8 Holds out, states, indicates, advertises, or implies to a client or prospective client that he or she is a physician, a surgeon, or a physician and surgeon.

  • Thank you for being nice.

Also, hilarious she brought up your problem might be related to an orange! LOL!

  • You haven't seen the other three videos as well as two more I probably won't post.

The comment about oranges totally caught me off guard and I held back exploding in laughter. She also pointed out the camera right on my chest.

  • She must be an OT 8. She jumped all over you with those oranges.

  • Wow! Excellent and damning stuff! Sure doesn't look much like "E-meters shall be used or sold or distributed only for use in bona fide religious counseling"!

You're good at playing the naif!

Get some butter and jam ready -- Scientology is TOAST!

  • My only complaint about the other vids is the profanity. Not cool at a family event. Otherwise, good stuff.

  • Nice job AO!

  • Oranges make the cult nervous.

    Good job AO.

  • ROFL!!! Fun fun! You didn't play along like I did. Too fun!

You did a good job baiting them.
