Alright, another casting announcement just got made for Catching Fire, so let's get the discussion started! We just got word via Lionsgate that Lynn Cohen is set to take on the role of Mags for the Hunger Games film follow-up. You may recognize the actress from Law and Order or Munich -- or even as Magda in Sex and the City. So as the character of Mags in CF -- ps: sorry but I gotta do it so some of you don't get mad -- spoiler alert! -- so again, as the character of Mags in the book-turned-movie series, she's an 80-year-old woman who volunteers in place of mentee Annie Cresta to represent District 4 in the 75th Hunger Games alongside Finnick Odair. She stutters regularly, and Katniss thinks that Mags may have had a previous stroke. Also, she winds up in a pretty powerful alliance during the competition, all while utilizing her talent of making fishhooks out of almost anything. Another interesting tidbit is that she is apparently the only woman to be alive during Catching Fire who was born before the beginning of the Hunger Games -- and President Snow is reportedly the only man in the same situation.
