@mamojica -- Well, yes and no. Another local station -- I think it was WNBC -- had aired a piece earlier in the week involving a dead ringer look-alike for Nikita Khrushchev, who at the time, may have still been the leader of the dreaded Soviet Union. Now, I don't know whether Soupy had been planning to end the Philo Kvetch series at that time, but having this fellow handy made him perfect for playing "The Mask" as his identity was finally revealed to Philo Kvetch fans.

of The WNEW TV Ch,5 NYC version of The Soupy Sales
show..he played The Mask's dumbell son.

It's so wonderful to see these Philo Kvetch shows again, by the way, I have a definite memory that when "The Mask" was unmasked at the end he turned out to be a very famous person -any one else remember?
Anyway I hope, hope hope we will see a Philo Kvetch DVD soon! We love you Soupy!
