  • Wow.. you can coax some cool sounds out of that little synth. So you can modulate the filter with the VCO? Cool. I didn't know it had that.

  • Most underrated of Moogs! People find out it has a single oscillator, and dismiss it... but they're missing out because of the other insanely cool features, like variable waveshape, extensive modulation, etc.

  • heheheheh R2D2 sound!! heheheh!

  • If you want R2D2 sound, you should find a demo of the ARP 2600, as I believe it was the synth used to generate those sounds.

  • love it :D great sounds too

  • thanks!

  • @drummerwithafro

    moog polymoog

  • Would this be a good synth to get gary numan-sounding industrial music? ie 'Cars' and 'Are Friends Electric?' ?

  • can you play chords on this magnificent device ?

  • The variable waveform is a really nice feature, sort of like PWM plus. Suprised we don't see that in more synths. I like these systematic demos of the synth's parameters.

  • 1:57 "huh? not working? ah, whatever" lol

  • COULD?!?!

  • omg this sounds like it could be fun

  • Hey Automatic,

One quick question related to the section between 1:41 and 2:00.

What is the total octave range of a SUSTAINABLE pitch?

The Roland SH-101 has the same number of keys as a micromoog but it has at least 6 octaves of SUSTAINABLE pitches.

    How does the micromoog compare?

  • Thanks for a nice demo of sounds - you helped to tip my scale towards purchase (which I have!)

Next is a CP-251 for some fancy patching..

  • it would have been funny if you would have continued that s/h filter modulation into the start of this vid, while singing "welcome back my friends to the show that never ends..."

anyway sweet vids all around x1000
