This is not Qawwali for your kind information. When you sing for the Prophet it is called Naat and its sung to praise the Prophet (SAW). The first Naat was sung in 6th century when Prophet was migrating from Mecca to Median. The People and the followers of Prophet in media waited the comming of Prophet, when he arrive the first Naat was sung. Its like this: Talael bedru aleyna.

Type them into wikipedia or in youtube you can hear the Naat Sharif.

    Take care.

Well Bhai, to my knowledge. Qawwali is a format, not like a genre. So for instance, there are Naat-e-Qawwali and Ghazal-e-qawwali, etc. But that's my understanding because Aziz Mian does a number of works on Mohammed (SAW), and due to his format of recitation, they are labeled as Qawwali, and he is a Qawwal, But thats my understanding, and I don't mean to cause dissention, just contributing.

  • How can this Qawwali be haram? Is it haram to praise our beloved Prophet? I don't know about others, but listening to Qawwalis strengthens my Iman. The more I listen to Qawwalis, the less I listen to other kinds of music.

  • loving his shiny watch lol
