I notice that some gothic lolitas are much different than others. Like some are just like other lolitas just black and white and some are much darker. So I have been wondering, is there a difference between gothic lolita and gothic AND lolita?

No, I don't think there is a difference. How different people do it is mostly just a matter of taste.

@XTheWickedShadowX well for what i know lolita came after gothic,gothic is a really old culture and gothic is not dark, it more like you live, not what you where, and gotic lolita is more like visual kei, you need to dress some way to be part of, so yeah there a big/huge differende between gothic and gothic lolita, but i thing lolita is just cuz the dress and make up, cuz lolita is a diminutive of Lola well at less in spanish

@XTheWickedShadowX gothic and lolita is a style of fashion, it has many sub styles and variations such as gothic lolita, sweet lolita, classic lolita aswell as many others for most lolitas these days its just a fashion but for others it becomes a lifestyle like mana for instance not only does he wear gothic style lolita but he is gothic, i for an example wear sweet lolita but i cant say i live the sweet life style i also wear gothic but im in no way a dark person.

@YaoiWithoutLove I suppose every person has there own way of doing things. I was just confused because when some people see a darker gothic lolita they always say "that is NOT gothic lolita it is gothic and lolita or gothic meets lolita." ??O_o?? Perhaps people are confused, but thank you anyways! ^^
