I have the tecsun pl-660 and a friend of me got his pl-600 today. I compared the two radios. Yes, cheaper pl-600 is more sensitive and probably has a bit better selectivity than the pl-660 at FM. pl-660 plays louder, has am sync function and selectable usb or lsb at ssb mode and more memories but the cheaper pl-600 is a bit better for FM reception. Hope next version of these 2 excellent radios become better.

Perhaps you got a dud as far as FM goes? Or was it an example of version 1?
Most of the reviews I have read of the performance of the PL 660 versus the PL 600 indicate that they have about the same level of sensitivity/selectivity on FM. But this indicates that the PL 600 is the much better performer.

FM reception in PL-600 is EXCELLENT! and catches radio stations you never heard before.
