yes, even without internet the wifi capability of a phone is installed into the actual blackberry. so yah.. it does

no it docent affect you much it is just that browsing the web will be a lil slower but if you have wifi you can browse the web faster then 3g

Hey my contract ends in September and Im going to get this phone and I was wondering if I don't get internet through AT&T can I still pick up internet through my wi-fi at my house.

Good question, the phone is for my partner and she finds the Bold to big and also she doesn't need 3G. Also with some of the problems reported with the bold the curve just made sence.
