Olivier is one of those, I feel, under-appreciated talents in the fashion industry. He's just so incredibly relevant in the fact that he creates garments that are visionary, but accessable. They are sleek and urban, but oh so incredibly innovative and scupltural. He will forever be a more significant force at Nina Ricci than Copping will....for a dose of humble opinion.

This sorta echoes his work for Nina Ricci FW2009 with its sharp nocturnal qualities

@SeanGarrette You're certainly entitled to that opinion. I myself will always applaud a designer more for moving a brand forward rather than "reviving DNA"....an aesthetic that was established 80 years ago. Its the same opinion that prevents Donatella Versace from transcending the legacy of Gianni, or Sarah Burton from McQueen. It serves to keep fashion stationary, and therefore easier to understand. Olivier speaks a different sartorial language than Madame Ricci, and THAT'S why he was a force.

I love Olivier as well, but to say he was more of a force at Ricci than Copping.would be a lie. Copping has revived the Nina Ricci DNA and made it one of the moat covetable brands.

I like it, but it feels very Balmain.
