Having a fetish for padlocks since long ago and being Danish I felt I had a need for some Danish locks in my (still quite small) collection.

Ruko padlock # 1541
Ruko padlock # 2641
Ruko padlock # 2649

To my knowledge Ruko is the only one and of course all Danes know Ruko. Great quality locks in a great design - a little on the expensive side though but good non China quality costs ;)
In contrast to many other great locks these have an unusual rough/though/heavy but still very nice industrial design. Designed by - of course a Dane - Jakob Brahe-Pedersen.

More locks to come. At least the SKAFOR red rated locks will be with the Ruko Garant cylinders. And at least one with the older Garant10 and one with the newer GarantPlus. Else the collection will not be semi complete ;)
The many variations of the "2" (green) series will be the last to be added. And I'll probably not get any other 5 pins other than the one already since that small size is not available with better cylinders and is a bit of an outsider compared to the rest (not std. size 5 pin key). At least the green series in 5 pin versions are a little shorter since the 5 pin cylinder is shorter. The blue and red are same length. Wonder if you order those in a 5 pin version isn't the same as the 6 with a spacer inside.

Well. The normal size 5 pin keys are easy to pick (not by me though :-p) and even a 5 y kid can bump them. So many reasons not to go for the 5 pin versions unless I get them cheap at flea markets etc. But hey - in DK like 75% of all homes still have the old crappy 5 pin Ruko locks! :D Guess people has to learn it the hard way :O
The old 5 pins are also rated at the lowest SKAFOR level - yellow. Barely adequate for lockers etc. And as such the green, blue or red series in 5 pin versions doesn't make any rational sense. Like putting an ordinary padlock on a bank vault.
The 6 pin Ruko cylinders are actually much better than just the extra pin alone indicates. Much more difficult to pick, bump and drill than the old 5 pin.
