Forget jumping the gun, not ready yet... it is the way the man thinks that shows how ready and able he truly is. Listen to him and you hear a man that seeks to understand the problems at a fundamental level, at its core. Those politicians that are "ready" basically just know how to manipulate the system for political gain.

I have more trust in Rubio, his principles, his words, the consistency of his action, and his understanding than anyone else in politics...

He has a lot of outstanding qualities, including the ones you mention.

I don't want him to jump the gun, that's all.

However, if nobody else emerges who can excite the base, I predict that there will be a "draft Rubio" movement started.

Plus, there is the question of whether Marco would want to run under any circumstances. He's been pretty strong against it so far, as on this video with Levin.

I don't care that Marco is Cuban per se. However, I do believe most Americans take our freedom for granted. He was raised by people who appreciate our freedom FAR more than the average American because they were denied it. He knows what it is like to be denied freedom (from listening to his parents and grandparents)

Marco understands how lucky we are to live in freedom and speaks eloquently about the greatness of America. He reminds me of Reagan when he speaks about America.

@jpav0923.. senator running for the GOP when we criticized Obama for a lack of experience.

I think there is a chance that Marco will look SO good by the end of the year that nobody could keep him out of the race. Right now, I'd love to see him with more seasoning. And, in the months ahead, I'd like to see more candidates emerge---Chris Christie would be a strong addition---while Marco distinguishes himself in the "US Debate Club."

A lively debate season will decide the GOP race, I think.

Me neither. And I absolutely know what Marco brings to the table. As a half-Cuban, I'd be DELIGHTED to see Rubio run. I started with him before anybody else in Tampa would give him the time of day. And he certaqinly has better state legislative experience than Obozo. 0, however, had more time in the US Senate than Marco will have next year (4 years vs .2). Plus, the liberal media will yell "hypocrisy" about a freshman

I understand what you are saying.  However, BHO already established that half a term in the US Senate qualifies you to be president. Marco has more experience than BHO did when he was elected.

I just don't see anyone in the field that really excites me. Sure, any of them are better than BHO, but none have the Wow factor. Marco does. He is a brilliant speaker and has great ladership qualities

Basically if unemployment stays near 10% and gas is near $4/gallon, Obama is toast.

I love this guy and have been with him since early '09 but don't you think that, however great he sounds or how effectively he starts off in the Senate, that the voting public would see him as too green---like Obama was---and hold it against him?

I want to see him make a run in 2016 when he will be "well seasoned" but, if the pubbies can't find another solid candidate for '12 , I'd say reluctantly, "go ahead and toss in your hat Marco!"
