Tina SanRoman, 35, of Burnsville died at Hennepin County Medical Center Tuesday, April 14.
SanRoman was stabbed in the chest during an incident at a townhome in the 1600 block of Riverwood Drive in Burnsville April 7.
The other victim, Odai Al-Refo, 24, who was paying rent to sleep on SanRoman's couch, was released from HCMC April 10.
SanRoman leaves a 9-year-old child behind who is in the care of family. Her body is at the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine cause of death. The incident is still under investigation, said Sgt. Jef Behnken with Burnsville Police.
According to a criminal complaint issued April 10, Taylor Pass, 18, of Eagan, who was arrested just after midnight April 8 in Savage, faces attempted murder and assault charges in connection with the incident. These charges may now be amended, said Behnken.

Could there be an ice rink in Nicollet Commons Park in the future? Maybe. The Burnsville Community Foundation proposed a 1,500 square-foot pleasure rink for the park in the Heart of the City at the Burnsville City Council's work session last night. The council was fine with the idea as the Foundation said it would purchase the rink, maintain and operate it through funds raised. It only asked the city to help in setting up, tearing the rink down and storing it. The rink would be in the park area closest to the Performing Arts Center set behind the water feature. Issues to move the project ahead include what kind of skate changing area to have, funding, signage, using real or fake ice and moving the two obelisks in the area now.
The council also agreed not to do a study on southwest Burnsville at this time. Instead those residents who sought changes for the area would submit a land use application on what they want and then go through the public hearing process to get the ball rolling.
The council discussed snow plowing streets, trails and sidewalks and decided to postpone any decision on sidewalks. They want to include that discussion with future budget workshops.
