Video shows a tour of Roswell New Mexico, showing the principal UFO sites. Also, shows an alien autopsy, Roswell, the Roswell UFO museum, and what had been the historic Roswell Army Air Field,. (More videos to follow.)
The Roswell Museum is excellent and well worth seeing.
What military planes can be seen over the Roswell Airport today (end of video)?
The area is extremely historic.
The Roswell International Air Center (RIAC), which is also known as the Roswell Industrial Air Center, is a city-owned public-use airport located three miles south of Roswells central business district (in Chaves County, New Mexico). From 1941 to 1967, this facility was known as Roswell Army Airfield during World War II, and later Walker Air Force Base during the Cold War. When it was in operation, Walker AFB was the largest Strategic Air Command base in the United States It was the site from which Japan was bombed during WWII. Alert crews stood ready 24 hours with B-52 bombers parked outside with nuclear weapons loaded and ready. The base was closed in 1967. (Shown in last portion of tape.)
It is also well0known because of the Roswell UFO incident, that supposedly happened on 4 July 1947 when a "flying disk" crashed during a severe thunderstorm. The site was also was used to launch stratospheric balloons for Air Force projects.
The airplane from the Roswell airbase, a B-29, was reported to have carried the Roswell debris to Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Ohio. The B-29 is also the plane that carried the atomic bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Bockscar, is the B-29 that carried the Nagasaki bomb. The B-29 that carried the atomic bombs returned to the United States in November 1945, where it was assigned to the 509th at Roswell Army Air Field, New Mexico. In August 1946, it was assigned to the 4105th Base Unit at Davis-Monthan Army Air Field in Arizona. In September 1946, its title was passed to the Air Force Museum (currently the National Museum of the United States Air Force) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, and it was moved there until September 26, 1961.
Roswell Crates - Many reports about Roswell say that a B-29 was used to carry crates from Roswell to Fort Worth, TX and then to Ohio. This original radio broadcast and the original equipment are on display at the museum.
Reportedly, the plane flew at a very low altitude, which suggests that the crate carried something other than inanimate debris. However, it might have flown at this altitude because of having the MPs on board in the unpressurized area where the crates were stowed. The reports say that each crate had to be checked for size and the crew had to know which crate went on which plane. Several crates were also reportedly loaded onto C-54s. Obviously, such crates should easily fit into this plane.
The B-29 Superfortress was a four-engine propeller strategic bomber used by the US in WWII. The B-29 is one of the largest planes used during WWII; it was designed as a high-altitude daytime bomber, but also used as a low-altitude nighttime incendiary bomber.
It carried the atomic bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The B-29 that dropped the bomb on Nagasaki is on display at the Air Force Museum at WPAFB. This Boeing B-29 Superfortress, Bockscar, dropped the second atomic bomb (plutonium bomb), called Fatboy, on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945.
Views of the Bockscar, which carried the bomb from Roswell to Nagasaki, and other views of many air and space craft can be found in the WPAFB. Videos of these planes can be viewed at:

This versatile plane is also the type that reportedly carried the Roswell debris. If a UFO had been found near Roswell, the debris, the B-29 that carried the debris, and all other artifacts would make a momentous display.
It would be especially momentous if the same B-29 had been used for both missions.
