Ya, though when we first got the bus it didn't seem to fluctuate as much as it does in this video. Once it warms up it seems to go away.

Man I knew in just a few seconds that was an 8.2 Detroit Fuel Pincher. The idle fluctuates a little like that and there is that unmistakable gear-drive sound. I had an 8.2L in a big 24 foot Ford F700 Chassis Step Van. Very common engine in 1980s school buses and more.

Sweet bus dude! I have a 1987 International Thomas bus! Is your 8.2 turbocharged? You are the first school bus owner I have found on youtube with a manual bus! That's awesome! Mine is now semi-manual (watch my latest vid)...
