Yes Mousavi and Karroubi are old guard. But the dilemma is, where is the strong secular leader with power, influence and enough followers to topple the regime? The less civil war bloodshed route, would be a Gorbachev style transition. And Mousavi and Karroubi are the only available players in that position. In power - with their promises of big reforms - perhaps then the people's demands can finaly dismantle the last vestiges of this current self serving Stalinistic regime!

Mousavi is part of this corp called the Islamic regime and a pillar of the Velayate Fagih. Time and time again Kahrubi and Mousavi have demonstrated that they are not viable leaders of this movement and traitors. They actually are trying to derail the uprising from its intended goal which is total eliminationo of the regime.
