this video is the reason why phone based tech support is such a nightmare to work..its not that people are generally douches, its not that their hardware more often belongs in a museum and its not that they have no idea how to use a computer its that they will NOT LISTEN!!

@moniker127 I can totally relate, I do tech support for comcast for all three products and I have to dumb everything down for people to understand. It like talking to 5 year olds all day. Sometimes having a person put their tv on channel 3 can be a 20 minute conversation, and I'm just sitting there thinking FML!

I pretty much end all my calls like that, right after I hang up.
The fun part is when the phone isn't hung up for whatever reason, and they hear you lol.

me too, my father did tech support before and he told me that 90% of people that call know absolutly nothing about computers, he said 60% of people think the computer is the screen and that the computer is a box to put cd's in

yep, thats pretty accurate. People who call tech support usually have no attention span, and no knowledge of anything technical what so ever. I do tech support for ATT aircards, and those are very popular for truckers. I've had to explain to people how to right click before. I also frequently get the call where it wont work because THEY DONT HAVE A PCCMIA SLOT SO THEY TRY AND STICK THE AIRCARD INTO THEIR CD DRIVE AND CALL US WHEN IT DOSNT WORK! I swear, i want to strangle kittens at work often.
