Is that all you got lol I might not know how to spell but atleast I can read a chart, calculate tides, plan and be prepared for any event which clearly shown you are lacking a lot of. Do some RYA courses then you wont get caught out like that and you will be prepared for such an event. And the RAF are pofesional they dont judge any situation like that, they just do their job and considering the nature of the situation its the next best option to rescue some one wether they want to or not.

@97Arran The Royal Air Force wouldn't have scrambled the Sea King, if they knew it wouldn't have been worth it- a lot of planning goes into SAR missions. Also, kindly check your grammar before taking the moral high-ground and making wild accusations (Y)

the tide wasn't going to come in for another 6 hours, we was freezing cold because we had been in the water, and while the tide was going out we was going as fast as we could back to the Marine but the water was very low and then we was stuck.
