The first Russian 5th generation fighter is scheduled to have its first flight in 2009 and enter service with the Air Force subsequently. The PAK FA will incorporate technology from both the Su-47 and the MiG 1.44. it will be stealthy, have the ability to supercruise, be outfitted with the next generation of air-to-air, air-to-surface, and air-to-ship missiles, and incorporate an AESA radar. This machine will use a completely new engines and be able to perform unique maneuvers.

  • Я бы переименовал его в FAK-PA. Так будет более понятно для англоязычных ;)

  • Can You Say YF-23 Black Widow?

F15 has never been shot down in combat... unless mechanical failures count. F22 is not going to be used over a country like Libya because air superiority was not an issue... and F22 is top secret classified plane... the F15 is not so secret so mechanical failures in F22 would be a major problem for the military if one got in the wrong hands. it would be used against tougher countries with hardened anti aircraft systems

  • @Axemantitan

those are flaps, used at low air speeds..

most commercial airlines have them too.

  • Russia make good weapons your the Americans should be ally's from russia

  • I noticed that the MiG-35 had movable surfaces on the leading edge of the wing. I've never seen these on any other plane. What are the advantages of this?

  • @LouistheHedgehog They still havent fixed it to my knowledge, and the F-22 still retains the problem that the radar absorbant paint on it falls off during rain.
