As an old Water Polo Player, who use to body surf, "The Wedge" when it was breaking years ago, it amazing to see people surf it! Back in the late 70's and early 80's you rarely found a surfer who could swim good enough to try. In this video the break appears a bit off shore. But when you get some nice 20 ft faces, you ball up at the end and feel your back slam the sand. You come up for air, see the next wave comming and dive down grabbing the sand with your hands and toes, then shoot up n swim,

@0ddball64 its deep at the takeoff but at the end of the wave about 2-3 feet. you dont get held under long for how big they are

it's crazy how people are just cheering them opn while they are getting big waves , its so amazing because it gives you so much adrenaline to keep going and going.
