Nawaz Sharif talks to Al Jazeera - 23 Aug 07

The former prime minister of Pakistan has been allowed by the country's Supreme Court to return home after nearly 7 years of enforced exile. Al Jazeera's Dalal Azar spoke to him after the court ruling.

Nawaz Sharif represents the worst kind of poltician for Pakistan. Deporting him was the very least that Musharraf could have done. He, along with Benazir, are responsible for the huge corruption scandals that rocked Pakistan. You cannot trust a man whose sole ambition is sheer greed and who is unashamed of it. A long stretch in Prison would have been more deserving as a responsible punishment to this most disgraceful of former Prime Ministers.
