Yes, very near the river. I used to hunt at a pay lodge called Valley Creek Outdoors in Selma. Unfortunately it's private hunts only these days.

Thanks for the comments. What you didn't see is, the very next evening this buck was shot at a food plot 1/4 mile away (15 in. on the inside). No regrets, I've shot plenty of similar bucks, but a first for the guy that did shoot him. That's what it's all about!
