Imaginary Numbers - John Lennon Parody

If I ever become a hit artist, this is going to be my debut song.
(I also sung this at my AusIdol audition in 2007. They never aired it; possibly because the song was too 'complex' compared to my 8 times tables)

Lyrics:
Verse 1:
Imaginary numbers
They're easy if you try
When you have a negative under the square root sign
You factorise out the "i"

Pre-Chorus 1:
Imaginary numbers
Easier than pi.

Verse 2:
Imaginary numbers
A complex can be killed
If you multiply by the conjugate
And then you're back to real

Pre-chorus 2:
Imagine if these numbers
All made sense to you......

Chorus:
You may say I'm a maths nerd
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you will join me
In a world where "i" equals the square root of negative one.

We heard this in algebra 2 class last year. We couldnt really pay attention cause this teacher recorded it and put it on a disc and her voice is really annoying, so we laughed at everything she said.
