@Fu50popo or if the person coming down to set the screen and the defender follows you can curl around the pick and get a lay up and also if the defense goes over the top of the screen cutting to the hoop he can easily fade out for a wide open 3.
we used to run this exact play in high school, eventually someone will break open under the basket, also if you run it enough the defense will over commit to the guy running to the top of the key for the pass, at that point he simply cuts back to the lane for a wide open layup
