By working on this augmented triad exercise, I should say augmented arpeggio exercise because that's what it really is, you will be able to incorporate the augmented pattern in your Jazz solos on any note both up and down the triad.

Once you feel comfortable with the exercise and have it memorized, start implementing the pattern into your Jazz playing using Aebersolds, over the blues, or just by yourself without any accompaniment.

  • this is very nteresting.....wanna do me a favor and check out my solos on my page...im still trying to figure out exactly what to do rather than work on scales and stuff all day
