Gary Day was the bass player for Morrissey until January of this year because he left to pursue his own music career-The Gazmen. This is a tribute to one of my favorite bass players with "Kid From Mars" by The Gazmen off their EP "Rigormortis Rock."

  • FINALLY someone giving gary some credit, nice job!! He's extremely talented playing with moz and w/ his side projects! I miss the (91-93)morrissey line up which was Alain, Boz,Gary,Spencer, i wish it was still like that. Too bad most people don't realize that, and tend to focus more on Morrissey himself, come on if it wasn't for the band MOz wouldn't sound soo great!

  • Fantastic!Good job!

I'm so glad i saw Morrissey in 2006 two times with Gary Day playing the bass.

I've never expect he had such an amazing Rockabilly-Voice!Fantastic

I hope he'll join the group again

In the future when all's well ;-)

  • @misszoeem

Yep that's right, Gaz on bass/vocals and Hodge on drums. We recorded 4 songs on that session.

  • This was a fun session.

  • Alayn White and Alan Wilson on Guitars.

  • Gary, what the f*ck. Still drive past Verney Street and think of the mad days with you, Rich, Chops and John. Now you have your own, solid, fan base. Fair play mate!

  • This is Alain Whyte on guitar

  • /watch?v=D0ag72OYdAk schaut das an!

  • @mamamcqueen you and me both!!!! I think I would faint to be honest.

  • Mr Beautiful lives on . . . . I would run away to GLasgow with Gary Day again and again and again. . . . Oh for those Ealing days, The Queen Vic, beautiful rockabillys everywhere, Gary Day, the most beautiful and the best

  • The godfather of the sleave tatoo. Go GAZ

  • I actually got to meet him in El Paso TX in 2002 I believe. Very nice guy... Chain smoker but good guy. I really miss him as a Moz member. Wish they were all back
