in holland in 2007 Ed said: We've played this song alot of times but never underneath such a perfect sky. And then the song began..... and as Ed sang the chorus he pointed from left to right at the sky.... i looked up and in that perfect sky one bird fly over the crowd, very high, all by himself. He pointed toward the bird until it was out of sight.

Ed mentions "one of the most beautiful melodies ever written" because Robert Plant was at the show (referring to Led Zep Going to California)... I'm pretty sure I remember reading that back in the day. Amazing song... best live versions in 98 and 00.

I hear ya. Two totally different moods between the songs. Black is just a song to pour your heart out to. This song is just totally kick ass :P I don't think it gets any better than this song!!!
