Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni secured funding over the last few years to build a new chapter house for our fraternity at Wichita State University and the old house was demolished the week of December 13th-17th, 2010.
The timelapse was shot from the second story Southeast window in the new house. I used a intervalometer set to 10 seconds to capture 6 shots/second. The camera was powered from a wall adapter and using a wall timer, it was powered from 6am to 7pm every day. This yielded 4680 pictures a day. Resolution was set to 1936x1288.
This timelapse uses about 17,500 of the 23,000 pictures taken. I used Adobe Premiere Pro CS2 for processing the video. I tried Final Cut Express and Premiere Elements on my mac and neither could handle the volume of pictures, so back to the old standby program. It was very difficult to get Premiere Pro to keep from crashing...lots of careful steps during importing and saving constantly.
nice house but mostly fraternity's are just an excuse to party act like idiots and glorifie drinking and drugs .
not all are like this but one in my town got shut down and i don't miss it one bit:)

There are those that do in every fraternity, but all have the fundamental principles for developing young men to live healthy, balanced, forthright lives. It only takes one man's poor judgment to get a whole house shut down and that's quite unfortunate if most of the other men were trying to get something out of the fraternal experience. I still regularly see friends from 15 years ago who would do anything to help me out and that's brotherhood. That's something you can't buy.
