  • skiing more fun? is that possible?

  • So rather than spend $900 on a new set of rockers I'll just drill a hole in the tips of a twin-tip ski, mount an old lightweight mountaineering cable-throw binding ahead and behind the boot, and decamber the ski when I need it in bottomless pow? If the idea is to plane on top of the snow then the cables will offer minimal lateral resistance. As Thoreau said, "Beware of sports that require the purchase of special clothing." Seems applicable to skiing if skis are footwear.

  • @blackhumanrace I would classify them as an all-mountain rocker ski, because its not a full rockered ski, it has normal camber underfoot, that makes them easier to ski on groomed snow.

  • what would u classify the k2 obsethed rockered ski as?
