Yes they did. Glider infantry did. During D-Day some glider infantry hit the beaches since we didn't have too many gliders. Remeber, glider infantry are not paratroopers. But yes we did use musset bags if your coming by air. But later in 44 we started to get rid of the haversack because we cannot fit too much stuff in it so most of the infantry started to use that in the late 44 to 45.

yes it was. during d-day, some glider men came from the landing craft and the air. the two men were on a patrol and ran into one of their men who is in their unit but went on landing craft.
