  • Dear SRN

This song written by Fr. Nagel .. not vayalar ...

  • SRN..... this song is written by German national Nagel. He wrote several famous christian songs. In the malayalam film its only copied from the christian song book. That's all. In the film..the tempo increased and it does not give the real feeling. I have the same song in slow tempo... anyone will cry while hearing that.

  • I agree with prasad

it is our favorite song with hope in heaven

    great song by Fr Nagal

Thanks God for our dearest Nagel

  • This is the only malayalam song translated in 17 languages worldwide , written by German missionary Mr V. Ngel , when he lost his son at a young age , later on this was modified by Vaylar ,for Devarajan masters composition for the filim Aranazhikaneram . - Harigovind Cochin .

  • Song celebrates 110 years. The lyrics was originally penned by Fr. Nagel, but as given the current evergreen status by Vayalar, Fr. Nagel got the idea of the song whilst travelling in a 'Jadka'.

The lyrics were modified by Vayalar for the movie 'Aranazikaneram'

  • the best lyrics ever...really meaningfull...

  • Thanks to The German Saayip for this malayalam song. There are more lines to this song "ezupatho-ere-aayaal-enpatho-mathram, ere-aayus-athu-ninachaal-kashtatha-maathram" I liked this song all the time because it is very meaningfull, other most malayalees like to sing only at funeral, I do't know why. Famous malayalam movie star Sathyans funeral they sung this song.

  • St Paul- 'enik jeevitham kristhuvum maranam nettam aanu'

  • Yes,This song was origanally written by the German missionary V.Nagel. And some changes were made for Film Aranazhikanerum.

Nagel may not have meant it for funeral but we malayalaees consider the lyrics and music suitable for the occasion.
