This is a journey through the heart of Mongolia towards the western reaches of the Altai Mountains. Starting in UlaanBaatar, our route was through the city of Kharkorin, touched the fringes of the Gobi Desert, the city of Bayanhongor, along the Tsenker River to Khar Us Nuur, into the old Manchu garison town of Khvod, into the high snow covered Altai Mountains to theprovincial capital of Olgii
