The President of the Toronto Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Marlene Stephens, will launch the annual Project Red Ribbon Campaign on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 10 a.m., in the front lobby of police headquarters, 40 College Street, Toronto, Ontario Canada.

"Every day, on average, four Canadians are killed and 190 are injured in impairment−related crashes." (MADD statistics)
Impaired driving continues to be a leading criminal cause of death in Canada. There are far too many people killed and injured on our roads every day due to what is a totally preventable crime.

There will be greetings from The Honourable John Gerretson, Attorney General, Province of Ontario; The Honourable Bob Chiarelli, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure; The Honourable Madeleine Meilleur, Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services; Staff Superintendent Jane Wilcox, Toronto Police Service; Chief Superintendent Don Bell, Ontario Provincial Police, Highway Safety Division; Chief Paul Raftis, Toronto Emergency
Medical Services and Deputy Chief Ron Jenkins, Toronto Fire Service
Help us have a great holiday season by encouraging people to be responsible and drive safe and sober.

  • TheSnugPub says text +driving = death. And is even more dangerous than drink driving. And is increasing every year. It's about time road safety organizations started taking it more serious instead of sweeping it under the carpet

  • D.A.M.M. Drunks Against Mad Mothers! Wake up! For every one drunk driver, there are thousands being assaulted by police, falsely charged for numerous things, and every right we have is being stripped from us. Stop believing the dam Media! Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies!

  • There are more killings by police, deaths by soldiers for the elite's benefits, killings by poisins in our food THAN DRUNK DRIVING. Now they want everyone to be a rat. They are profiting enormously form Drunk Driving. They "doctor" the records to make people believe that it is a high rate. They make over $10,000 for every drunk they catch. It's another scam to make money. Don't fall for it!

  • Know what's funny? You're driving behind a drunk driver. You call 9-1-1 to report it but then get pulled over for using the phone while driving :)

  • 911 operators need to be trained better. I will never phone 911 again for a drunk driver. The guy was integrated me on the phone kept demanding to know how I knew the guy was drunk. I told him the same story 3 xs before I got it through his thick skull. Someone could of been killed in those 5 mins. I was doing 50 in a 40 and he passed me so fast he was blurry. Then he drove on a sidewalk and through the red light
