Located beside Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park, the Rhombic Dodecahedron aims to create a new conception of spatial experience by using three dimensional grid system. The geometry of rhombic dodecahedron is carried through the shelter design down into its detail including desk, chair, and bed. It also allow the shelter to rotate and transform from its daily program to the night time usage at daytime the bed becomes a trombe wall which absorb and restore solar heat; at night the energy is released through the transformed bed. The transformation allows users to experience new configuration in a single space.

  • I loved the idea but the video is confuse. I didn't like the division in 3 rows. Fantastic use of geometry in Architecture.
