Ok, so this is one of the old, technically new for you guys, chapters. I just wrote it a long time ago. It's not recently written. But anyway, yeah enjoy.

I spotted Joe sitting exactly where I left him, with Selena rooted right next to him. So I did an instant U-turn and headed for a drink.
I was bending down to get a beer out of the cooler when the same guy I ditched on the dance floor-or tried to ditch-appeared in front of me, his hand grazing my butt. I bit the inside of my cheek as I straightened back up.
"I didn't catch your name." He said to me, flirting.
"Maybe you're not important enough to know it." I didn't say it like I was flirting back, but he obviously took it that way.
"How about you find out if I'm important enough this Friday night?" He winked at me. Wow, is he kidding?
"Sorry," I bit my lip and put my hand on his shoulder. "I don't date guys like you."
"What, confident?" He frowned, but at the same time I could tell he was trying to tease.
"No." I put my arm by my side and started walking away, "Jerks."
Ok, so I might have dated a jerk or two... but hey, lying was necessary to get him away from me.
With a smile I turned around and headed toward Joe.
"Have a fun time talking to Jason?" Selena quirked an eyebrow at me as I walked up.
"You were talking to Jason?" Joe turned towards me. I put a hand on my hip and smiled slightly.
"Is that his name?"
"Yeah, he's the most popular guy in school." Selena told me like I was stupid.
Joe coughed.
"Why is he so popular?" I asked as I sat on Joe's lap. He looked surprised at the gesture, but soon relaxed and laced his arms around my waist, holding me to him.
My cheeks felt suddenly warm...
"I don't know, he's hot, the quarterback, and wears nice shoes?"
"So you're telling me that girls-"
"And guys." Joe mumbled.
"are in love with him because he has nice shoes?"
"I don't like him."
I took a sip of my drink and smiled at her, "Good. I don't either."
At least we agreed on something.
Around 1:00AM I decided I was too tired to stay much longer. But it wasn't your ordinary tiredness, I was tired of catching Jason staring at me, tired of trying not to rip Selena's throat out - our kindness to each other had ended after that conversation - and tired of trying to get Joe to dance - although it was kind of entertaining to do that.
"I gotta head home now." I informed Joe as I wrapped my arms around his neck, seeing as I was still in his lap.
"Yeah?" He looked at me.
"Yeah." I nodded and kissed his cheek lightly then stood up. He got up after me as I walked towards the glass backyard doors. I quickly waved to Nick and Kevin over the crowd because they were on the other side of the yard. I tried to say bye to Chelsea but she was surrounded by a ton of her annoying friends so I thought better of it.
Once we got outside I walked towards my car and leaned against it as Joe stood in front of me.
"So..." I said, crossing my arms over my chest.
"So..." Joe repeated, "Goodnight."
As he started to turn away I grabbed hold of his wrist, quickly turning him back towards me so he was closer than he was before.
"I don't get a goodnight kiss?" I asked, pouting just a little. He chuckled.
I smiled and pulled his lips down towards mine.
For a guy who hasn't had a girlfriend he was an amazing kisser.
It was gentle, but I could feel how he was craving just a little bit more, like I was. I wrapped my arms around his neck as his hands landed on my hips and his body pushed me against the car harder, trapping me. Honestly, I was ok with that since I didn't really want to escape, anyway.
I let out a slight moan when I opened my mouth wider and our tongues touched. Basically, I was putty in his hands. My fingers played with the strands of hair on the back of his neck as he squeezed my hips.
When we pulled away we were both breathing heavier than we were before.
"Best goodnight kiss of my life." I said as he rested his forehead against mine.
"Hmm." was his agreement.
Joe kissed my nose softly, then ducked his head and trailed kisses on my neck.
I closed my eyes as I tilted my head back, gripping his shoulder as he sucked on my collarbone.
I gasped as his lips were suddenly gone, my skin aching for his sweet kisses.
"You better get home." He said as he untangled himself from me. He flashed me a soft but somehow triumphant smile then walked back inside his house, leaving me there alone, smiling like an idiot.
And then I through my head back and laughed.
