Dancer Lukas Timulak from the prestigious Nederlands Dans Theater, in a latest collaboration with the designer Peter Bilak, takes interest in abstract language with the structure of music with this site-specific piece. The backdrop of the piece is Kurt Schwitters' Ursonate from the 1920s, written organization of phonetics that bridges music with poetry and performative arts. It is humorous and dead serious at the same time, accurate and barbaric, historical and modern. The existence of this original Schwitters' recording is a small miracle. Most of the Dada performances were not recorded or the recordings are lost, but Ursonate was recovered in the Den Haag in the late 1980's. Choreography: Lukas Timulak, Collaboration: Peter Bilak, Music: Kurt Schwitters 'Ursonate', Light: Tom Visser, Costumes: Tomoko Inamura, Dancers: Nina Botkay, Ema Yuasa, Jiri Pokorny.
