I never knew what this lady looked like. My teacher told us this story in the 5th grade. Most of my teachers in elementary and junior high were filipino. I only remembered shoes and Imelda Marcos.

What's wrong with wearing your most expensive dress and jewelries on your birthday? It's your birthday! Doesn't everybody want to look their best on their birthday celebration? My mother celebrated lavishly on her birthday! Why can't a former first lady do it? What is lavish on her embroidered terno. Is it encrusted with diamonds? Does she have a diamond tiara?
