LTTE Terrorist leader Prabhakaran's photographer killed

The official photographer of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran has been killed in an attack. (19/02/2008)

Thavam was also a close associate of Prabhakaran and a senior LTTE cadre. Sources emanating from the un-cleared areas said he was critically injured during an attack in the Wanni and succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at the Killinochchi hospital. His death has also been announced in a pro-LTTE website. It is now confirmed that he had been killed in an attack unleashed by the armed forces. It is revealed that he had served in the armed wing of the terrorist outfit and also as the chief technician of the voice of tigers. It was Thavam who had been in charge of LTTE publicity.

Two key tiger cadres killed

Two top terrorists of the LTTE pistol gang who attempted to attack the Police at Shivapuram in Vavuniya have been killed.

These two terrorists had hurled a hand grenade at a Police team, which was engaged in an inquiry. This resulted in a conflict. The terrorists died when the Police retaliated. The Police recovered weapons of the terrorists.
