  • Life: Loathe it or ignore it. You can't like it.

  • @Telstar62a The first ten million years were the worst...

...then the next ten million - they were the worst too...

  • Every version of H2G2 has differed to a greater or lesser degree from the original Radio series. I think the problem was really in the casting, although Alan Rickman was OK as the voice of Marvin

  • i like the look of the new marvin better beacause it is so easy to draw

  • @daleharris12 To me, the film version looked as if it had been quickly doodled as an afterthought

  • why are there star wars clips in a Hitchiker's video???

  • Because it's about robots in general and Marvin in particular. In any case, there are only so many repeats of Marvin walking down the corridor before it becomes boring

  • Course I have a pain in the diodes all down my left side but nobody listens. Did the Earth have oceans? Arthur Oh yes great big rolling oceans. Marvin, can't stand oceans. What a pity the movie was such a mess this was made in 1980 and so much better thank you Douglas you are sadly missed.

  • actually, according to Douglas Adams, almost all versions of The Hitchhiker's Guide completely contradict each other, but i still think that this Marvin was amazing. great song, by the way.

  • "You know what really makes me mad?/They clean me with a Brillo pad" - faultless line!

  • @NekoChanSenpai Unless that's a joke you are one of the stupidest people I've ever had the displeasure of knowing existed.

  • Your plastic pal that's fun to be with!

  • @QuackVideo Douglas Adams made all the different versions of Hitchhiker different on purpose. Marvin's voice is a configuration on a synthesizer. Anybody who speaks into the machine sounds like Marvin, so it's all about the tone and inflection of the speaker.

  • As of this moment, 42 people like this video.

  • @groovyastrodude You might not be aware that the screenplay for the movie was written by Adams himself, and any deviations from the original story were therefore his. According to Robbie Stamp, his only contribution to the screenplay was only tightening up a few lines.
