  • aimsuxdoggydills - huh?? That poncho liner can compress down to the size of a grapefruit. Why would I want to bring a 40 degree bag when its 90-100 degrees outside?

You bring the kind of knife you want, I'll bring the kind that I want.

  • Just an idea if you have n't thought of it already.

You find a tin can that your water bottle will nest in, it should slide right in that pouch and boy that comes in handy to warm up water for some instant soup or coffee. the can weighs almost nothing, takes up no space and could be a life saver should you get stuck some where. It can be a digging tool, pot to purify water, and many other uses.

  • what color is your pack?

  • @aimsuxdoggydills not bring a knife? insanity.

  • @njstrongman32 Okay, Thanks

  • @Chiangazard I would say yes. Food, water, shelter, and fire are the necessities and he covers all of them with this pack load out. In a three day situation, I would simply add a bit more food for the long days! Hope this helps man.

  • @TheAlex5552 a moral booster... I would be real pissed if I was in a life or death situation and soaking wet. Just my opinion though, obviously in a K.I.S.S. situation you could cut out the rain gear and some other items included in the day pack depicted above.

  • Would it be useful more than one night? For example if you got lost for three or so days would it be good?

  • I don’t see why you need rain gear if you said that the back pack was for summer only

  • Lol 3:01, that's pretty extreme terrain buddy. Excellent review, thanks a lot. This looks like an excellent day pack.

  • @59Gretsch btw MSR makes a cup (titan i think it is) that his nalgene bottle would fit into. theyre pretty pricey but well worth it.

  • thick accent! but love it! thanks for the review! love the bible!
