I can't stop watching this - the whislte is sublime....I know I need food, water and air....but a part of me thinks that all I need is this song.

could have even been yarmouth nova scotia

I sing "In Yarmouth town there lived a man, kept a little tavern on the sand." Yarmouth is built on the sand and the `rows` that developed there would have had pubs / taverns on the sand. There is no strand in Yarmouth IOW or Great Yarmouth for that matter...as for Maine USA.... they`ll be saying Nelson himself was born there next. i`LL TAKE THE ANORAK OFF NOW!

@StimJunkie Yarmouth's a bitterly cold town. How else are the ladies there to keep their ankles warm, eh?
-
Its a sailor's song, could've just as easily been Yarmouth, Maine for that matter.
-

Yarmouth in the United Kingdom, at a guess. There is a lot of crossover between traditional irish and english songs.
