i just find time and again,female artists are pre-judged if they don't come out with a guitar strapped to their chest or in front of a piano.

and she's not just a voice that sings words but she uses her voice. it's really funny to me how people can be so ignorant and outright judge somebody without any sort of substance whatsoever.

and another thing,you keep saying she is or isn't this or that but goldfrapp is not just alison it's alison AND will. there are two people and both of them contribute.

alison doesn't use instruments therefore she's not an artist? what a bunch a dribble! for one thing you apparently are not a real goldfrapp fan otherwise you'd realise instruments aren't all the traditional. she not only has played(studio and LIVE)synthesizers first and foremost which she learnt to play way back during her years in antwerp but she's played the heavenly melodica,cowbell,tambourine(su pernature)....and above all else her voice is an instrument.

@jayfey77 Are you a musician? Have you recorded music? A song? An album? Have you appeared on stage? Do you know what a session musician is/does? Just to give you an example - The Beatles co-wrote their songs. Look up George Marin's input with Sgt. Pepper. Your logic says they weren't true musicians, in that case.

But the best is you arguing the defence for Nsync. They had CREDITS that they could play but, what, they didn't want to? Mess up their haircuts? You're funny. Bonehead funny. Fool.
