Funny how the whipped dog barks the loudest. By the way, sad piano songs do not classify as goth. Sadness does not constitute being goth, everyone gets sad. Have some respect for the musician who created this beautiful piece. Even if you do not enjoy piano, it does not mean you have to go off on a tirade and start throwing the word "faggot" around like it means something. Perhaps you should re-evaluate where you stand on this topic, because your logic is pitiful. Grow a pair and suck it up.

@BenjiQ575 Because of the obsession and relation to the architecture (not to actual goths, though) such genre was called gothic literature. Then more people wrote books, movies in gothic genre. And I believe fans and/or writers of this literature formed a subculture called goths. Then some people started composing songs of the genre. People who think gothic can't be a genre of music are wrong. It can and is a genre of music, aswell as art, books, movies, architecture and people.

@BenjiQ575 Yester century? It' XX. But that's when the subculture was formed. Which century are you reffering to? The original goths were first noticed by Romans in III century. The subculture looks nothing like the real goths. However, I have found out how the subculture was formed. There was a writer, Horace Walpole. He was obsessed with the gothic architecture (which actually doesn't relate to goths), it seemed dark and artful yo him. Do he wrote books about darkness combined with romance.

@ThatTrollGuyAgain From what I understand, they adopted the name 'goth' because their image was similar to the goths of yester century. The irony being that they're constantly complaining that people don't understand them, yet they completely warped the meaning behind a word.

It´s so beautiful!!!!

Where did you find this picture?

@eviljarrett Although, I do not know what does this modern subculture also called "goths" has to do with actual goths. And why. Goths are nothing like them. Why not calling themselves Vikings? :D Would practically be the same thing... I must investigate! :) ... :D
-
@eviljarrett Actually, you are the one who misunderstood the word. 'Gothic' is an adjective of a noun 'goth'. If it is still unclear, here are some examples: noun 'titan', adjective 'titanic', noun 'horror', adjective 'horrific', noun 'demon', adjective 'demonic'. A person is a goth and a person can be gothic. Horror can be horrific.
Gothic architecture, letters, music (etc.) were called so because of goths. But modern gothic music is called gothic because of this modern subculture - goths.
