@particle58 & as a matter of fact: Real Jews don't proselytize or evangelize to non-Jews, but messianic jews somehow do & they're apparently "real" jews, 2. Yeah right. Evangelizing = trying to coerce somehow not of ur faith to ur faith, which is what mjs do, y else would they be in Israel?

@particle58 "Ethnically Jewish"? R u serious? Ethnically Jewish = Israeli ancestry = Middle Eastern (b/c Israel IS in the Middle East). & u know what & who else is in the M.E. Iranian, Iraqi, Yemenite, Turkish & other Middle Eastern Jews that have been there for centuries.

Your take on the Birthday of Yashua is right, and as for the "Orthodox Jew" I think he needs to go back to the 613 commands and read the one about taking the name of YHWH in vain. While "God" is not technically his name, is has become synonymous through usage with YHWH, though I do not agree with it's usage. I am Hebraic Roots or Messianic and support Israel and her people 100%!!

@BecuzISaidSoGoddamit Just because some Jews have come to the conclusion, based on the Tanakh and Torah, that Yeshua is Moshiach, doesnt give you the right to determine who they are. You dont have to believe like they do, in fact, they only represent about 10 to 15 thousand Israelis, and theyre the ones who are being persecuted, to force them to believe like you! If you dont want to believe like them fine, but that does not give you the right to determine what their identity is.

@Countrygent100 I read an interesting article that explained since Yeshua was conceived during the 6th month of Elisheva's pregnancy, who conceived Yochanan on about the third week of Sivan, means that the 6th month of her pregnancy would be around Chanukah, and 9 months later is Succot! This means our Messiah, Immanuel, was probably born during the feast of tabernacles, was 'cut off' on preparation day, and rose from the dead on first fruits! Amazing stuff.

Did Jesus say "Cut down trees before Dec 25th to celebrate my birthday"? Did He say: "Eat chocolate eggs & rabbits to celebrate my resurrection"?

No.

Good "Christians" do these things anyway; but 'tradition' is not God's Truth.

Likewise, there's much in the Talmud that is just accumulated traditions from the diaspora in Babylon - much in it is Jewish reactionary cultural re-affirmation after the Temple was destoyed & the Roman Explusion.

Talmud is "Rabbinicism" not God's Truth to the Jews.
